Helpful Accessible Travel Videos

Boarding an airplane:

Air travel can be intimidating and can create a great deal of anxiety for disabled travelers and their care givers..  Sometimes seeing exactly how boarding a plane works for someone in a wheelchair can help.  So here is a quick video of how it works for Harold.  We have found that the airport personnel are very helpful through out the whole process.  A key is to make sure when you book your tickets that you are very clear to the airline about your accessibility needs.  Enjoy!!

Italy Train Travel:

Sala Blu is the accessibility service at most Italian train stations.  If you book your train tickets in advance, and make sure you reserve accessible seating, Sala Blu will assist you in boarding and de-boarding the train.  We had an amazing experience, and the staff was super friendly.  They even transferred all our luggage for us on and off the train.  We only used the train from Rome to Florence and then back again, but we will be sure to do more train travel in Italy next time!!

See how easy it is.  Watch and enjoy!
